What is the business case, which technical and financial benefits can they realize?
The 6-axis Cobot Melfa Assista increases its range of application for haptic and optical component testing, as well as for the validation of vehicles. One of the biggest advantages of the cobot is that it works without a protective housing and can therefore be used flexibly and independently of location in the interior and exterior. RobSimulation programs test tasks with object positions and robot paths that are derived from CAD data. The object position is optimized in the virtual test cell and the achievement of the test points is tested. Finally, the test sequence is optimized with digital twins in the virtual room for real programming, eliminating the need for manual and time-consuming on-site teaching! As soon as the real test specimen is available, the virtually optimized test sequence is transferred directly to the real measuring robot for virtual commissioning. The new test task can be carried out immediately and efficiently fulfills the project schedule. During this time, the real robotic measuring system processes the last order, downtimes are minimized and real resource utilization is increased.
